Anagram returns for their fifth edition, this time from Octual who had made his debut on the label with one original track on ANAGRAM002 together with Stefan Vincent and Sinfol, which was released back in 2014.

This fall Octual will present his first solo EP: ‘Escaping the Gyre’, a mysterious and symbolic title elucidating to the loss of oneself in music. This four-track melodic journey starts with the title track, opening as pulsating low-end eases into vibrating chords and galloping hi-hats. Contrariwise, the bassline of ‘Conceal’, rather driving, breaks down with a delicate interlude before snapping back into the groove with outstanding precision.

On the flipside, Octual’s elusive and intelligent use of pads in both ‘As I Move’ and ‘Singularity’ accentuate his deliverance of beautifully atmospheric tracks.
Octual’s solo debut demonstrates his depth of sound and structure that explores the boundaries of our existence, voyaging through space and time.
